Elena (Contillo) Monti

102, of Providence, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 30, 2014, at Steere House, Providence. She was the beloved wife of the late Louis J. Monti. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Leonardo and Gertrude (DiNunzio) Contillo. Elena was a sales person at the former Cherry & Webb Department Store, Providence for fifteen years before her retirement. She is survived by her loving children, Lenore J. Tullie and her husband Thomas of Norton, MA, Lois A. Eck and her husband Wayne of Carlsbad, CA, and Linda E. Pizzuti and her companion Raymond Barbery of North Kingstown. Elena was the cherished grandmother of seven and the great-grandmother of twelve. She was the sister of the late Michael, Philip, Salvatore, and Raymond Contillo, Madeline Colarusso, Angelina Paolino, and Evelyn Gearin. Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Friday at 10:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. in St. George Maronite Church, formerly St. Ann Church, 1493 Cranston Street, Cranston.
