Eleni (Panteleakis) Psikakos

86, of Cranston, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 18, 2017 at St. Elizabeth Home, East Greenwich. She was the beloved wife of the late Nikolaos M. Psikakos for fifty-six years. Born in Kalamata, Greece she was the daughter of the late Konstantinos and Georgia Panteleakis.

She is survived by her loving children, Michael N. Psikakos and his wife Elaine Psikakos, John N. Psikakos, and Georgia N. Petropoulos and her husband Dr. Peter Petropoulos, all of Cranston. Eleni was the mother of the late Konstantinos N. Psikakos. She was the cherished grandmother of Eleni Psikakos. Nickolas Psikakos, Dr. Thomai Dion and her husband Dr. Jonathan Dion, Athanasios Petropoulos and his wife Christina Petropoulos, and Nikolaos Petropoulos and his wife Gianna Petropoulos, and the great-grandmother of Alec and Cameron Dion, and Lena Petropoulos. Eleni was the sister of George Panteleakis and the late Peter Panteleakis.

Imigrating from Greece in her early twenties, she met and married her husband who had also come to the United States seeking a better life. Eleni was a devoted wife tirelessly working alongside her husband, and together unwavering, steadfastly and with pride accomplished their dreams of building a home, raising a family and educating their children, with unconditional love and support.

Eleni was a very proud, loyal, and graceful woman who loved her family, respected all, and never forgot her “koumbari” and their families. A self-made woman, she most cherished her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and remained to the very end passionate for their wellbeing and upbringing.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral service on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. in Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, 175 Oaklawn Avenue, Cranston. Burial will be private. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted.
