Elfriede A. (Hinterstein) Harris

76, of Narragansett, passed away on Wednesday, January 4, 2017.  She was the beloved wife of Edward A. Harris.  Born in Furth, Germany, she was the daughter of the late Konrad Grunbaum and Freda Shriker.

Elfriede was a very talented woman.  Her needle point was once displayed in the White House.  She also has a poster she did for the American Lung Association displayed in Providence and 2 flags displayed in the North Kingstown Town Hall.  She received numerous other awards and prizes for her work.

Besides her husband, she is survived by her loving daughter Erika Southland and her husband David of Mt. Airy, MD, her cherished granddaughter Sheena Southland and great granddaughter Briana Southland both of Randallstown, MD.  She was the grandmother of the late Brandon Southland.  She also leaves two sisters and her late brother.

Her funeral arrangements will be private.
