of Cranston, passed away on Sunday, April 2, 2017 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of the late Achille “Archie” Campanella. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Assunta (Cola) Giannasi.
Betty was an avid golfer and was a past member of the Metacomet Country Club; and member of the North Providence Garden Club. Her joy in life was and always has been her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her loving children, Stephen Campanella of Cranston, Gary Campanella of California, Nancy Scorpio and her husband Anthony of Cranston and Christine Woodbine and her husband Robert of Saunderstown. She was also the grandmother of twelve, great-grandmother of seven, and dear sister of Marion Giannasi of Cranston. She was the mother of the late Mary Patricia Campanella and mother-in-law of the late Joanne Campanella.
Her funeral will be held on Thursday, April 6th at 8:45 a.m. from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory 1278 Park Ave., Cranston, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Mark’s Church, 15 Garden Court, Cranston. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS are Wednesday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
