Elizabeth M. "Betty" Gilkenson

80, of Cranston, passed away on Wednesday, January 24, 2018 at Berkshire Place, Providence. She was the beloved wife of the late Kenneth Gilkenson, Sr. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late William and Mary (McHale) Bushman.

Elizabeth was an office manager for Fleet Bank, TD Brown, and Sun Life Insurance. She was a volunteer at St. Elizabeth’s Home achieving yearly recognition for serving over 1000 hours. Betty married her high school sweetheart, Ken, Sr., she loved music and dancing, received her diploma from Central High School in 1956.

She was the devoted mother of Kenneth Gilkenson, Jr. and his wife Leslie Ereio of Cranston, and Glenn Gilkenson CPD, Ret., and his wife Susan Gilkenson of Cranston; beloved sister of Evelyn Creighton and Rose Carvalho, the late Marie Decouteau, Jean Rhianna, and Betty Brown. Cherished grandmother of Michael, Stephanie, Kenneth, Sean, and Elizabeth Gilkenson.
