87, of Providence, passed away on Friday, January 3, 2014 surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of the late Paul Shamirian. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Sahag and Miriam (Anusbegian) Jeranian. Libby was an administrative assistant at the Providence VA Medical Center before retiring and was a licensed electrologist. She graduated from Cranston High School and received her Bachelor of Science degree from Bryant University in 1983. She was a member of Sts. Sahag & Mesrob Armenian Apostolic Church and its Senior Citizens Group. She was an avid pinochle player and bowler, a talented seamstress and enjoyed cooking. Her family meant the most to her and she cherished her time with them. Her family returned her love and she will be greatly missed. Libby was the devoted mother of Dr. Paul S. Shamirian and his wife Aeda of Cranston, Dr. Robert A. Shamirian and his wife Dianne of North Kingstown and Lisa M. Shamirian, Esq. of East Greenwich; loving grandmother of Paul R. Shamirian and Robert J. Shamirian; and dear sister of Harry Jeranian of North Providence, Anna Boghigian of Nashua NH and the late Victoria Kazarian. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Service on Tuesday at 11 a.m. in Sts. Sahag & Mesrob Armenian Apostolic Church, Providence, followed by burial at Swan Point Cemetery, Providence.
