Elsie M. (Palombo) Contillo

97, of Scituate and formerly of North Providence, passed away on Tuesday, March 4, 2014 at Oakland Grove Health Care Center in Woonsocket. She was the wife of the late Salvatore L. Contillo. Born in North Providence, she was the daughter of the late Peter and Victoria (Pistachio) Palombo. Elsie worked for Trafari Jewelry for many years, until her retirement.

She is survived by her two children; Ronald P. Contillo and his wife Janice of Cumberland and Janice A. Contillo of Scituate. Elsie was the grandmother of Ronald A. and his wife Jean, Sharon M., and Christopher A. Contillo, and great grandmother of Anthony, Andrew, Gillian and Mackenzie Contillo. She was the sister of Esther Chille of North Providence and was predeceased by seven siblings.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday in St. Mary's Church, Cranston at 11:00 a.m. Burial will take place in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 245 Waterman Avenue, Suite 306, Providence, RI 02906.
