Elvira "Vera" P. (Buccini) Pazienza

98, formerly of Warwick, passed away March 20, 2026. Born in Providence, Vera was the daughter of the late Amedeo and Marietta (Castelucci) Buccini. She was the wife of the late Joseph “Pepsi” Pazienza and beloved mother of Linda Pazienza of Warwick and the late Barbara and James Pazienza. Vera was the sister of Dora D’Amario and the late C. John Buccini and Elena Torrisi. She is survived by many nieces and nephews.

Vera was a devoted and beloved wife, mother, and homemaker who cherished her family. She enjoyed traveling, winters in Florida, trips to the casino, playing cards, music and dancing. But playing tennis was her passion, and she was a gifted player. Vera possessed an unwavering ability to find joy in the face of adversity and heartbreak in the years following the passing of her two children. Her warmth, strength, and zest for life inspired all who crossed her path.

Relatives and friends are invited to gather in procession outside the main gates of St. Ann Cemetery, 73 Church St., Cranston on Thursday, April 2nd at 9:45 a.m. Committal Prayers will follow at 10 a.m. in the chapel of St. Ann Cemetery.
