Emelia F. DiPippo

Emelia Frances (Trombetti) DiPippo, 86 of Cranston, RI died Friday. She shed the robes of mortality and leaped into eternity, leaving heavy hearts and joyful memories for all that knew her. Emelia was born on September 2, 1939, to Umberto Trombetti Sr. and Antonetta (Gazerro) Trombetti. She was the mother of Lori-Ann DiPippo of Cranston, Gina DiPippo of College Park, Maryland, and Vincent DiPippo and his wife Rachel (Dieckhoff) DiPippo, both of Johnson. She was the grandmother of Brittany DiPippo and her life partner Serena Entezary, both of Cumberland, Sean Robson of College Park, Maryland, and Sophia and Gabriella DiPippo, both of Johnston. She was married for 34 years to Vincent B. DiPippo. She was the sister of the late Umberto Trombetti Jr. and Lawrence Trombetti. She was the loving aunt to seventeen nieces and nephews. And she was a binding force to all her cousins and the extended family who all knew her ability to connect and maintain those bonds across decades and generations.

Most of all, she was the willing and most often ring-leading partner to many partners in crime across the spectrum of lunch dates, concerts, Bunco games, travel, and untold adventures. In fact, we’re being told of many heretofore unknown adventures daily and expect scandals and formal inquiries to ensue.

Emelia pursued her zest for life in open defiance of the many health issues that befall octogenarians and extracted the last drops of happiness from this life before leaving it behind.

To say she leaves us with a hole is a diminutive insult to the canyon she leaves behind. We take solace in the fact that such incredible grief that we have witnessed in the past few days cannot exist apart from the boundless love that went in both directions with so many. And that is simply not something that this world can contain forever. You will be missed, Grammy, Auntie, Emelia.

Her funeral will leave at 9:00 am on Friday August 7, 2026, from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston. Followed by her Funeral Service at 10:00 am at Sacred Exchange Fellowship Assemblies of God Church, 75 Division Rd., East Greenwich. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS will be Thursday, August 6, 2026, from 4:00 -8:00 pm. If you own purple, WEAR IT!
