Emilio Luna

80 years of age, of Providence, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 11, 2017 at Rhode Island Hospital, Providence. He was the beloved husband of fifty years to Giselda (Tineo) Luna. Born in the Dominican Republic he was a son of the late  Leoncio and Antonia (Torres) Luna. Before coming to the United States, Emilio was an elementary school teacher for twenty-five years.

Besides his wife he is survived by his loving children, Miledys Luna, Luisa Luna Nunez, Elizabeth Luna, Esther Luna Mendez, Emilio Luna, Jr., Heriberto Luna, Sergio Luna, Alberto Luna, Emily Luna Asbury. Emilio was the cherished grandfather of twenty-two and the great grandfather of fourteen. He was the brother of Marina  Luna, Idalia Luna, Diana Luna, and the late Rosa and Sergio Luna.

Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Monday at 11:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 noon in St. Charles Borromeo Church, 178 Dexter Street, Providence. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS Sunday 4-9 p.m.
