99, of Narragansett, died peacefully on Palm Sunday morning. She was the beloved wife of the late Edward A. DeSano. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Caterina (Petorella) DeCesare.
Emma is survived by her son, Dr. Edward DeSano, Jr. and his wife Marsha of Pocatello, Idaho; daughter, Kathy Mahoney and her husband Jack of Narragansett, R.I.; Six grandchildren, Dr. Ali DeSano and her husband Monte Blunk, John Mahoney and his wife Danielle, Dr. Emmy Mahoney and her husband Kevin Blycker, Edward A. DeSano III, Jed Mahoney and Kathryn Mahoney and Five great grandchildren, Sofia, Ryley, J.J., Zoey and Julia.
Emma reveled in the love and joy of her family and friends and took great pride in their accomplishments. She volunteered in many charitable organizations and was devoted to the Christian Brothers and Ocean Tides School. Emma was a member of the Point Judith Country Club where she enjoyed playing golf and bridge with her friends.
Emma will be remembered for her thoughtfulness and her uncanny ability to see others strengths. Everyone has a great Emma story as she left a lasting impression with those she met.
Her funeral will be held on Wednesday at 10 am from the Nardolillo Funeral Home SOUTH COUNTY CHAPEL 1111 Boston Neck Rd., Rte. 1A, Narragansett, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 am in St. Mary's Star of The Sea, Narragansett. Burial will take place in St. Francis Cemetery, Wakefield. VISITING HOURS: Wednesday 9-10 am.
