93, of Johnston, passed away on Wednesday, October 12, 2016 at Cedar Crest Nursing Home in Cranston. She was the beloved wife of the late Fernand L. Slaimen. Born in Providence, She was a daughter of the late John and Christina (Santucci) Almonte.
Emma worked for the State School Lunch Program for 30 years before her retirement. She was a fun loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
She is survived by her loving children, Glenn Slaimen and his wife Catia of Scituate, Alan Slaimen and his wife Cathy of Foster; cherished grandchildren Glenn II and David Slaimen and great grandson Zachary; dear siblings, Viola DeLuca of Johnston, John Almonte of Port Charlotte, FL and the late Alfred, Raymond, Americo Almonte, Esther Russo, Gilda Perrotta and Phyllis Lisa.
Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston on Tuesday at 10 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in Our Lady of Grace Church, Johnston. Burial will take place in St. Francis Cemetery, Pawtucket. VISITING HOURS are Monday 4 – 8 p.m.
