ERNEST MARTUCCI
88, of Cranston, passed away on Sunday, September 22, 2013 at RI Hospital in Providence. Born in Providence, he was the devoted son of the late Giuseppe and Concetta (Perone) Martucci.
Mr. Martucci was a chemistry teacher for over 30 years at Cranston East High School before retiring. He was also an avid traveler, spending much of his time traveling throughout Europe, in particular Italy. He graduated from Classical High School and was a 1948 graduate from Brown University. He was a devoted parishioner of Holy Ghost Church and was a WW-II U.S. Navy veteran.
Mr. Martucci was the dear brother of the late Maria Francesca Giffoni and Alberto, Alfredo, Vincenzo, Amadeo and Salvatore Martucci. He was the beloved uncle, great-uncle and great great-uncle to many nieces and nephews, too numerous to mention. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, September 28th at 10 a.m. in Holy Ghost Church, 1 Knight St., Providence, followed by burial with military honors at St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted.
