Ernest Pacheco, Jr
52, passed away on Thursday, September 11, 2014, at his home in Coventry. He was the beloved husband of Carmela DiPaola-Pacheco. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Ernest Sr., and Belmira (Andre) Pacheco.
Mr. Pacheco was a special education teacher for Roger Williams Middle School for more than 30 years. He was a Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus, Providence Chapter, a collegiate baseball player at Providence College, played for the Montreal Expos Organization and was part of the RI Umpire Association.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his loving siblings Karen Arsoniadis and her husband Zisis of West Warwick, Valerie Sears and her husband David of Seekonk, MA and Shelly Capasso and her husband John of West Warwick.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. in St. Mary's Church, West Warwick. Burial will take place in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Providence. Visiting hours will be held on Monday from 4:00-8:00 p.m. in the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory 1278 Park Ave., Cranston.
