Ernesto A. Otto

70, of Cranston, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 19, 2026 at the Hope Health Hospice Center in Providence. Born in New York City, he was the son of the late Carlos and Angela (Meija) Otto.

He is survived by his loving sons Gabriel Otto, and Corey Otto; cherished grandchildren Elijah, Gabriel, and Eden; dear siblings Gladys Otto, Martha Otto, William Otto, and Alexandra Otto; beloved niece Jessica Otto; former wife Wanda Compres.

Ernesto was a proud U.S. Navy Veteran who served during the Vietnam War era. He also worked as a carpenter for many years. Ernesto was a loving father and grandfather whose kindness and warmth touched those around him. He had a deep love for music and enjoyed sharing that love with others. Ernesto was also a man of faith who lived by a simple philosophy he often carried with him: “God does not like ugly.” To him, those words were a reminder to treat others with kindness, respect, and a good heart. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by his family and all who knew him.

His Funeral will be held on Friday, September 25th at 10:30 a.m. followed by a Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. in the Nardolillo Funeral Home & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston. Burial with Military Honors will take place in R.I. Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter. VISITING HOURS will be Thursday, September 24thfrom 6:00 – 9:00 p.m.
