Esther S. (DiFiore) Basile

passed away on Thursday, December 21, 2017 at Philip Hulitar Hospice Inpatient Center in Providence. She was the beloved wife for 64 years of Mario V. Basile.  Born in Lawrence, MA, she was the daughter of the late Remo and Josephine (Gaudiano) DiFiore.

Esther worked in the jewelry industry for many years before retiring.

Besides her husband Mario, Esther was the devoted mother of Lawrence W. Basile and his wife Patricia of Warwick, William M. Basile and his wife Karen of North Scituate and Paula R. Conetta and her husband Michael of Cranston; loving grandmother of Michael Basile, Aimee Mitchell, Christopher Basile, Jacqlyne Basile, Mario Conetta, Ashley Faria and Brianna Conetta; loving great-grandmother of Isabella, Grace, Julia, Gavin, Angela, Cecelia, Isabella, Owen, Abigail, Talia and Gabriella; and dear sister of the late Paul “Barney” Parrillo, Ernest DiFiore, Elva Massesa, Regina Paolucci, Lydia Salina and Diane DiFiore.

Her Funeral Service to which relatives and friends are invited will be held on Wednesday, December 27th at 10 a.m. in the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston, followed by burial at RI Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter.  VISITING HOURS are WEDNESDAY MORNING from 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m.
