Esther (LaMarra) Capuano
85, of Greenville, passed away on Tuesday, March 3, 2015 at the South Bay Manor, South Kingstown. She was the beloved wife of Umberto Capuano for 59 2/3 years. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Benedetto and Angelina (Coia) LaMarra.
Besides her husband, she is survived by her loving son Dr. Umberto Capuano and his wife Patricia of Narragansett; 2 cherished grandchildren Patricia Lynn Capuano, Umberto Edward Capuano and his wife Lauren; dear sisters Rita LaMarra of Lincoln and Olga Caniglia of Providence. She was the sister of the late Helen, Yola, Albert LaMarra and Ida Puccetti.
Esther always strove to improve herself, to excel and to help others. Her focus on her family was unwavering. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, an extremely proud grandmother, she truly cared for her siblings, nieces and nephews. She was an avid collector with a discerning eye for quality. Her guidance and teaching will continue to impact our daily lives as we try to move forward without her.
Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory-SOUTH COUNTY CHAPEL, 1111 Boston Neck Rd. (Rt. 1A), Narragansett on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. in St. Veronica Chapel, 1035 Boston Neck Rd., Narragansett. Burial will be private. VISITING HOURS will be Saturday morning from 9:00 - 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Thomas More Catholic Parish, 53 Rockland St., Narragansett, RI 02882.
