90, of Johnston, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 1, 2015 at Cedar Crest Nursing & Rehabilitation Centre. She was the wife of the late Edward DiRobbio. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Filomena (Delvecchio) Pietrantonio.
Esther's true passion was her work. She was employed in retail sales in the lingerie department for over 50 years, most recently at Cherry & Webb, retiring on her 75th birthday when the store closed. She was also a longtime parishioner of Holy Cross Church.
She is survived by six nieces and nephews, Joseph Pietrantonio of Providence, Grace Silvestri of North Providence, Anthony Vicario of Warwick, Paula Cannavo and Margie Kohanski, both of Port St. Lucie, FL, and Sandra Barchi of North Providence. She is also survived by her dear cousin Brenda Baginski of Cranston. Esther was pre deceased by four brothers and sisters.
Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston on Tuesday at 10:00 am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:15 am in Holy Cross Church, 18 King Phillip Street, Providence, RI 02909. Burial will take place in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS will be held on Tuesday morning from 9:15 - 10:15 am.
