Esther A. (Sciolto) Ruggiero
94, of Barstow St., Providence, a retired jewelry worker, passed away on Sunday, August 23, 2015 at the Scandinavian Home in Cranston. She was the beloved wife of the late William Ruggiero. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Vincenzo and Francesca (DeMaio) Sciolto.
Esther was the devoted mother of Richard V. Sciolto and his former wife Kim Sciolto, both of Providence; loving grandmother of Jennifer L. Sciolto and her husband Michael R. Buco of Providence and Vincent F. Sciolto of Johnston; and dear sister of Santo Sciolto of Johnston and the late Vincent Sciolto.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday at 9:00 a.m. in St. Mary Church, 538 Broadway Providence. Burial at RI Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Exeter will be private.
Visiting hours and flowers are respectfully omitted.
