Eugene L. Gesmondi

80, of Johnston, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 15, 2014, surrounded by his loving children. Eugene was the husband of the late Gloria (Oliver) Gesmondi. Born in Johnston, he was a son of the late George and Sylvia (Golini) Gesmondi. Eugene was a member of Teamsters Local 251, employed as a truck driver for United Parcel Service, and was an Army Veteran serving during the Korean War.

He is survived by his children, Gene R. Gesmondi of Johnston, Andrea L. Rioles of Coventry, Michael F. Gesmondi of Johnston, Dana M. Gesmondi of Pascoag and David M. Gesmondi of Johnston. Eugene was the cherished grandfather of seven and brother of George Gismondi and Ernestine DiPalma, both of Johnston, and the late Elaine and Richard Gesmondi. He was the long-time companion of Elaine Albano of Johnston for the past 29 years.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral service in the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Friday at 10:00 a.m. Burial, with military honors, will take place in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
