EUGENE "GENE" MARCHETTI

81, of Bowlet St., Providence, passed away Monday, August 1, 2011 at Roger Williams Medical Center in Providence. He was the husband of the late Bernadine J. (Hebert) Marchetti. Born in Cranston, he was the son of the late Lawrence and Ann (DiPippo) Marchetti.

Gene was an auto mechanic for many years before retiring, and was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran.

He is survived by his children Diane, Elaine, Carol and Steven; his grandsons Adam and Max; and siblings Barbara and Edward. He was predeceased by his brother Albert.

Visiting hours to which relatives and friends are invited will be held Friday evening 4-8 p.m. in the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston.

Private inurnment with military honors will be held at a later date at RI Veterans Cemetery in Exeter.
