Evelyn (Santagata) DeSimone

95, of Johnston, formerly of Providence, passed away on Sunday, March 25, 2018 at Cherry Hill Manor, Johnston. She was the beloved wife of the late William Frank DeSimone. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Vincenzo and Angelina (Capoverde) Santagata.

Evelyn is survived by her loving children; her son William DeSimone and his wife Lillian, and her daughter Barbara and her husband Michael; cherished granddaughter Susan Chaiken and her husband David, and their children Dean and Reid. She was the loving aunt of the late Raymond Santagata. Evelyn was predeceased by her siblings, Joseph, Arthur, Ernest, Louis, Albert, Alfred, Raymond, Anna, and Harry Santagata, and Elsie Vallante.

Her entire family will thoroughly miss the Sundays they spent at her house.

Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Wednesday at 9:45 am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 in Holy Cross Church, Providence. Burial will follow in RI Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter. VISITING HOURS will be held on WEDNESDAY MORNING from 9:00 – 10:00 am.
