Fernanda S. Izzo

Fernanda S. Izzo, 77 of Warwick passed away Tuesday January 3, 2023, with her family by her side. Born In Funchal Madeira, Portugal, she was daughter of the late Ricardo and Maria (Sousa) Andrade.

She was an expeditor for several years for American Insulated Wire and then Federal Products. Her life however was centered around being a loving and devoted “Vova”. There wasn’t a moment that she missed with her Owen and Amy. She never missed an opportunity to challenge anyone in her favorite card game of Scat.   She enjoyed tending to her gardens and had a great love of all flowers. She also loved to cook her famous meatballs and sauce that were always in high demand.  Her standing date on Sunday with Jack was dinner and a trip to Twin River.

She leaves her beloved daughter Susana Glass and her husband Scott. Her adored grandchildren Owen Glass and Amy Glass. She was the loving companion for many years to Jack P. Mento. She was the sister of Algerina and the late Cesar Santos, Angela and Pat Paolo, Alvaro and Rita Andrade, Luis and Diana Andrade, and the late Ricardo Andrade.

Her Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday January 9, 2023, at 11:00 am in St. Cecilia Church of St. John Paul II Parish, 755 Central Ave., Pawtucket. Burial is private. Calling hours have been kindly omitted. Donations in her memory can be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
