97, of Warwick, RI, passed away on Thursday, April 26, 2018 in Brentwood Nursing Home, Warwick. Born August 2, 1920 in Cranston, she was the beloved wife of the late Dante A. Votolato, Sr. for 52 Years until his death in 2017. Daughter of the late Domenico and Agnes M. (DeLellis) Zannella, she was the devoted mother of Dennis D. DiMauro, Sr. (Ann) and David R. DiMauro (Lucia), stepchildren, Leona Worsley (Kenneth), Albert R. Votolato (Catherine), Carl A. Votolato, Dante A. Votolato, Jr., Michael J. Votolato (Joan), grandmother of 13 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Amedeo A. Zannella, Gianina Solmonese, Elvira Zannella, Maria D. Saraco, Pauline Solmonese, and Louis A Zannella, Sr.
A graduate of Cranston High School, she was a lifelong member of St. Rocco’s Catholic Church in Johnston. Florence was a homemaker and fabulous cook. She always enjoyed the Wednesday night card club, dancing at Rhodes on the Pawtuxet on Saturday nights and of course visiting with family for weekly lunches.
Visiting hours will be held Tuesday, May 1st, from 9:00-10:00 A.M. from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston, followed by a funeral procession and a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Rocco's Church, Johnston at 11:00 A.M. Burial will take place in RI Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Rocco's Church, 927 Atwood Avenue, Johnston, RI 02919.
