Fortunato "Lucky" DelVecchio

of Providence, passed away on Sunday, April 22, 2018.  He was the beloved husband of Antonietta (DiCristofaro) DelVecchio. Born in Roccamonfina, Italy, he was the son of the late Giovanni and Cristina (Ianalfo) DelVecchio.

Fortunato was a state employee at CCRI for many years before retiring; and served in the Italian Army.He loved playing Bocce and was a RI Champion for the Santa Maria DiPrata Club.

He was the devoted father of Emanuella Petrucci, Battistina Russo and her husband Robert and Erminia Lindsay all of Cranston and Marco DelVecchio of Coventry; and loving grandfather of Robert M. Russo, Jr., Charissa DelVecchio, Riana Russo, Marco DelVecchio, Jr., Mikala Petrucci, Geneva Lindsay and Nadia DelVecchio.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, April 27th at 10 a.m. in Holy Cross Church, 645 Hartford Ave., Providence. Inurnment will take place in Italy at a later date.

Visiting hours are respectfully omitted and kindly omit flowers.
