92, of Cranston, passed away on Monday, November 18, 2013 at the Scandinavian Home in Cranston. He was the beloved husband of the late Edna E. (Montanari) Benassi. Born in Ferrarra, Italy, he was the son of the late Giuseppe and Elenora Benassi.
Frank worked for Oaklawn Builders for 20 years and later as a self-employed carpenter before retiring. He served in the Italian Army during WW-II; was an avid fisherman and enjoyed bowling.
He was the devoted father of Gary F. Benassi and his wife Frances of Cranston; loving grandfather of Stephanie Benassi and David Benassi; and dear brother of Luigi Benassi and Elena Benassi, both of Italy and the late Nando Benassi.
Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston on Saturday at 9 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in Immaculate Conception Church, 237 Garden Hills Dr., Cranston at 10 a.m. Burial will be at St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
