Francesco 'Frank' G. Paolantonio
88, of Johnston passed away on Monday, September 8, 2014. He was the beloved husband of the late Maria (Geremia) Paolantonio. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Guitano and Angelina (Colonna) Paolantonio.
Frank worked for the Narragansett Brewery for 25 years until his retirement. He was the owner of the former Frank's Arco Service Station and the former Pal's Diner both in Providence. Frank was also an avid fan of all sports, but especially the NY Yankees, NY Giants and Boston Bruins. He was a veteran of both World War II and the Korean War.
He is survived by his loving children, Frank "Francesco" N. Paolantonio and his wife Janet of Warwick, Maria M. Pace and her husband Jimmy of Providence, Jean M. Manfredi and her husband Gary of Johnston, and the late Alan M. Paolantonio. He was also the dear brother of Ernie Paolantonio, Alfred Paolantonio, Robert Paolantonio, Richard Paolantonio, and Rosemarie Janelle; Grandfather of Dana, Jimmy, Frank, Nicole, Michael and Jamie; Great-Grandfather of Adam and Isabella.
His funeral will be held on Thursday at 10:00 a.m. from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory 1278 Park Ave., Cranston, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:15 a.m. in Holy Cross Church, Providence. Burial will be private. VISITING HOURS will be Wednesday from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Home and Hospice Care of R.I., 1085 North Main St., Providence, R.I. 02904.
