88, of Cranston, passed away peacefully on July 14th, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. He was the devoted husband of Ann Marie (Marcotrigiano) Di Lanna. They represented the true meaning of love for 67 years. Born in Johnston, he was the son of the late Domenick and Christine (DiFazio) Di Lanna.
In addition to his beloved wife, Frank is survived by his children, Janet Cambio and her husband, Todd of South Kingstown, Donna Di Lanna-Moore and her husband, Keith, Frank Di Lanna Jr. and his wife, Judith, and David Di Lanna and his wife, Trisha, all of Cranston. He was the cherished grandfather of Todd Jr., Kayley, Amy, Frank III, McKenzie, Derek, Domenic, David, Devin, and the late Keith Moore Jr. Frank’s love extended to the next generation as a great-grandfather to Sebastian, Lorenzo, and Roman, who brought joy and light into his life.
Frank was the brother of Barbara D’Ambra of Cranston, Lorraine Wagner of Florida, and the late Domenic (Junior) Di Lanna of Scituate. He also leaves behind a large extended family of cherished nieces, nephews, cousins, and a close-knit group of lifelong friends.
He eventually moved to Cranston where he graduated from Cranston High School in 1954, and then went on to marry Ann, the love of his life in 1957. They resided in Johnston for many years before returning to Cranston.
Frank and his brother took over their late father’s business, Di Lanna Egg Farms, Inc. where he served as vice president for 50 years. What became known to friends and family as “The Egg Room” was not just a business, but a sense of community and family. As the business evolved into Di Lanna Foodservice & Paper Products, Inc., he continued to find purpose and pride in going to the office each and every day.
He and his friends were known for making homemade red wine and sopresatta- treasured creations that brought joy to countless family gatherings. Some of Frank’s favorite pastimes included serving as a member of the Santa Maria Di Prata Society, the Kelly-Gazzerro Post, the RI Bocce League, the Elks Lodge and the former Pocasset Casino Club. He was also a passionate lifelong Yankees fan -with a love for the game that became a special way for him to bond with family.
To most, he was Frank. To thirteen, Papa. To four, Dad. To one, a soulmate. He will live in our hearts forever and his memory will never fade.
