Frank C. Melillo

87, of Hopkinton, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, May 19, 2015 at Westerly Health Center in Westerly. Frank was the husband of Elena L. (DelSesto) Melillo. Born in Providence, he was the son of Domenic and Maria (Palumbo) Melillo. Frank worked as a machinist for the former Royal Electric, was a part-time meat cutter for the former Paradise Market, and was also an Army Veteran serving during the Korean War.

Besides his wife, he is survived by his children, David D. Melillo and his wife Paulette of West Warwick and Elizabeth A. Pare and her husband Steven of Hope Valley. Frank was the grandfather of Jessica Anderson and her husband Gregg, Jennifer Pare and her fiancAC. John Anderson, and Timothy Pare. He was the great grandfather of Luke Thomas Anderson. Frank was the brother of Anthony Melillo, Rose Marsocci, and the late Nancy Matarese, Philomena Sukaskas and Anna Moscarelli.

His funeral will be held from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Saturday, May 23rd at 9:00 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in Our Lady of Grace Church, George Waterman Road, Johnston at 10:00 a.m. A procession for his inurnment at RI Veterans Memorial Cemetery, will be held from the funeral home on Saturday, May 30th at 9:30 a.m. VISITING HOURS are Friday, May 22nd from 5-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the: American Heart Association, 1 State Street #200, Providence, RI 02908.
