Frank A. Palumbo, Jr
87, of North Vale Ave., Cranston, passed away on Sunday, July 13, 2014 at Grand Islander Center in Middletown. Born in Cranston, he was the son of the late Frank A. Palumbo and the late Margaret (Mongone) Grover.
Frank was a claims representative at Allstate Insurance and later a claims administrator at Metropolitan Property & Casualty retiring in 1990.
He was a 1948 graduate of Bryant College with a BS degree in Business Administration. He was a WW-II U.S. Navy veteran and member and past State Commander of the Italian American War Veterans Post #8 in Cranston.
Frank was the devoted father of Donna R. O'Neill and her husband Daniel of Jamestown and the late Gail F. Clukay of Salisbury, NH; loving grandfather of Eric and Rachel O'Neill of Jamestown and R. Benjamin and Christopher Clukay; brother of Alfred J. Palumbo of Cranston and the late Pasquale Palumbo. He was the former husband of the late Audrey M. (Cave) Palumbo and companion of the late Hope B. Templeton.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Service on Friday, July 18th at 11 a.m. in the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston, followed by burial with military honors at Highland Memorial Park in Johnston. VISITING HOURS are FRIDAY MORNING from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.
