92, of Cranston, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 23, 2018, at Cedar Crest Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Cranston. He was the beloved husband of the late Elizabeth S. (Salvo) Reis. Born in Fall River, MA, he was a son of the late John and Alice (Soares) Reis. Frank was a mechanic at the former US Naval Air Station, Quonset Point for forty-two years before his retirement. He also owned a cleaning and window cleaning business for many years. Frank volunteered at Rhode Island Hospital as a patient representative for over twenty years. He served as a board member for the Providence Civic Orchestra of Senior Citizens and was a longtime member of the American Legion, Auburn Post #20. Frank was an US Navy veteran serving during WW II,
He is survived by his devoted children, Carl D. Reis and his wife Susan of St. Charles, MO, Elizabeth A. Reis of Cranston, and John F. Reis and his wife Carole of Cranston. Frank was the cherished grandfather of Alexander and Sydney Reis, David Manderscheid, John Reis and the late Jennifer Zabinski and the great-grandfather of Logan Reis. He was the brother of Alice Camara of Fall River, MA and the late John Reis.
Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Tuesday at 9:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in St Mark Church, 9 Garden Court, Cranston. Burial with Military Honors will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
