Frank Sionni, Jr.

85, of Johnston, passed away on Monday, May 30, 2016, at Philip Hulitar Hospice Inpatient Center, Providence. He was the beloved husband of Mary (Laurenzo) Sionni. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Frank Sionni, Sr. and Philomena (Bruno) Sionni. Mr. Sionni was an Army Veteran, serving during the Korean War. Frank worked as a supervisor for Taunry Brothers and Quaker Plating until his retirement. He was also a dedicated Eucharistic Minister for St. Bartholomew Church and Morgan Health Center. Frank was an alter server, usher and parishioner at St. Bartholomew Church; he was also a member of the Holy Name Society.

Besides his wife, he is survived by his loving children, Stephen Sionni of Coventry, Paul Sionni and Judy of Cranston. He was the cherished grandfather of Eric, Ryan, Scott and Sean Sionni; great-grandfather of Leana Rose, Jaden and Anthony Sionni.  He was the brother of Florence Booth and Josephine Messier both of Johnston. He is also survived by his daughter-in-law Dawn Sionni. Frank was the brother of the late Mary Northup, Eleanor DeSano, Edna Capace, Carmella Souza, John, Raymond and Albert Sionni.

His funeral will be held on Friday at 9:00 a.m. from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in St. Bartholomew Church, Providence. Burial with military honors will be held in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS: Thursday from 4:00-7:00 p.m.
