Fred M. Manni, 88 of Cranston, RI passed away on Thursday, October 5, 2023 at the Kent Regency in Warwick, RI.

Married for 62 years, Fred was the beloved husband of Solange (McIntosh) Manni.  He was born in Cranston to the late Francesco and Tilde (Ronci) Manni.  He graduated from Cranston High School in 1953 and was a US Army Veteran.  Fred had a long career in the food industry, working as a sales representative for Lincoln Foods and Carnation/Nestle Food Company before retiring. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Leo Council 72, and served as Grand Knight.  He was also a member of St. Mary’s Catholic School PTO in Cranston, serving once as PTO President.  Fred was a champion duckpin bowler in New England and an avid horseshoe player when he wintered in Venice, Florida.

Fred is survived by his four children, Marc and his wife Phyllis of Deary, Idaho, Michael and his wife Stephanie of Poughkeepsie, New York, Maria Croft and her husband Stephen of Warwick, and Matthew and his wife Erin of Charlestown.  He was the loving grandfather of Joshua, Ian, Noah, Liam, Michaela, Jack and Brogan, and great-grandfather of Levi and Lucy.  He was the brother of Mafalda Doglione, Natalie Brandt, and Frank Manni, and the late Elsie, Albert, and Armand Manni, Mary Marcello, Louise Tamagni, and Angelina Renzi.

Visitation will be Thursday, October 12th from 4-7pm with a memorial service on Friday, October 13th at 10am at Nardolillo Funeral Home, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston.  Burial will be private at the family’s request.
