Frederick “Mike” Gatta

78, of Johnston, passed away on August 30, 2023.  He was the beloved husband of 44 years to Betty (Parrillo) Gatta.  Mike was a union bricklayer for many years until his retirement.  He enjoyed playing his guitar while listening to blues music, fishing, reading and day trips with his beloved wife.

Besides his wife he is survived by his loving children: Michelle Gatta of Woonsocket, Kathleen and her husband Bill Hannan of South Kingstown, and Greg Parrillo and his wife Julie of Johnston.  He was also the cherished grandfather of Kyle, Leah, Kaitlyn, Christopher and Mark and the great grandfather of Lorenzo and Max.

His visitation will be held on Wednesday morning from 8:30-10am in the Nardolillo Funeral Home 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11am in St. Robert Bellarmine Church, Johnston.  The burial will be private.
