George H. Sawyer, Jr
68, of Cranston, passed away on Saturday, February 7, 2015. He was the beloved husband of Veronica J. (Smith) Sawyer. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late George H., Sr. and Vera C. (Pina) Sawyer.
George worked as a jewelry caster for many years before his retirement. He took very special care of his mother-in-law Lois A. Smith. He was an avid fisherman and he loved his Chihuahua, Princess.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his loving children, Stephan McClain of Pawtucket, Mario McClain of Cranston, Kim Cybulski of North Providence, Georgene M. Carle of Woonsocket, George H. Carle, Sr. of Pawtucket, Georgette Avila of North Providence, Justin T. Cybulski of Providence, Vera Hill of Woonsocket, and Thomas Hill of Woonsocket; 29 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
His funeral service will be held on Thursday at 11 a.m. in the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston. Burial will take place in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Providence. VISITING HOURS will be Wednesday from 4 - 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Providence Community Health Center, 375 Allens Ave., Providence, RI 02905.
