George F. Vanhouwe

94, of Cranston, passed away peacefully, on Thursday, January 29, 2015, at Cedar Crest Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Cranston. He was the beloved husband of 70 years to Rita (Riendeau) Vanhouwe. Born in Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada, he was a son of the late Arthur and Marie (Lamande) Vanhouwe. George was employed as a foreman for Perini Construction Company for many years before his retirement. Besides his wife he is survived by his loving children, Diane Cardi and her husband Michael of Wakefield, Dennis Vanhouwe of Cranston, and the late Lorraine Vanhouwe. He was the cherished grandfather of Nicole Tomaselli and her companion Richard Tiberi, Danielle Tomaselli and her husband Derek, and the late Lisa Vanhouwe. George was the brother of the late Blanche Millette, Rene Vanhouwe, and Augustin Vanhouwe. His funeral service and burial will be private.
