Gerardo 'Jerry' Absi

Gerardo 'Jerry' Absi
passed away on Sunday, January 25, 2015 after a valiant battle with pulmonary hypertension. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Antoine and Sarafina (Savastano) Absi. Jerry was a US Army Korean War Veteran. He was a longtime business owner. Jerry was a letterman in track at Classical High School and ran cross country while attending Providence College. As an avid sports fan, he had an encyclopedic memory for statistics and enjoyed participating and coaching in the senior softball leagues.
He is survived by Jean, son Gerard, daughter Carmel, and his two grandchildren Alexandra and Gerard III "J.T."
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral service on Saturday at 10 am in the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave, Cranston. Burial with military honors will follow in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
