Gian "GG" Joseph Ricci

18, of Johnston, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, October 13, 2025, at home in his mother’s loving arms. Born in Providence, he was the cherished son of Jamie C. Ricci and Jessica L. Faiola. He was the loving grandson of Anthony and Charlene Ricci, Joan Faiola, and the late David Faiola, Sr. Gian is also survived by his dear siblings, Dante, Lucca, and Francesca Ricci; his aunts and uncles, David Jr. and Vanessa Faiola, Lindsey Faiola, Amanda Faiola, Tina Ricci, and Lori Ricci; his great-grandmothers Rita Mary Downing and Marilyn Faiola. He is also survived by many loving great-aunts, great-uncles, and cousins, along with his special people, "That Guy" and Miss Julie, who were very dear to him.

Gian was a junior at Johnston High School. He was a bright light, not only in our lives but in the lives of everyone he met. He possessed an extraordinary ability to make people smile, touching many with his beautiful spirit and infectious joy. A precious angel on Earth, Gian has now returned to his heavenly home. We will always remember his love for SpongeBob, the excitement he found watching football games with his dad, his carefully organized Ziploc bags full of baseball cards and alphabet letters, and, of course, his beloved iPad. He leaves behind a legacy of love and beautiful memories, cherished by those who knew and loved him. His memory will live on in our hearts forever.

Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Saturday, October 18, 2025 at 9:00 am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in St. Rocco’s Church, Johnston. Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Visiting hours will be held on Friday, October 17, 2025 from 4:00 – 8:00 pm.
