Gilda M. (D'Ambra) Conti
90, of Cranston, passed away on Thursday October 29, 2015 at Golden Crest Nursing Home, North Providence. She was the beloved wife of the late Salvatore D. Conti. Born in Cranston, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Anna (Kelly) D'Ambra.
Gilda is survived by her loving son, Richard D. Conti and his wife Marcia of Yarmouth Port, MA; dear sister Rita Gatta of Johnston and the late Vincent, Henry and Edmund D'Ambra; cherished grandchildren Jennifer A. Saker and Stephen A. Conti; great-grandchildren Elena and Giana Conti. Gilda was employed at Filene's for many years until her retirement.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday at 11:00 am in St. Mary's Church, 1525 Cranston St., Cranston. Burial will be private. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758517, Topeka, Kansas 66675.
