Gilda B. (Geremia) Maccarone
94, of Cranston, passed away on Friday, February 14, 2014 at the Greenville Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was the beloved wife of the late Alfred Maccarone, Sr. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Rosa (Picozzi) Geremia.
She is survived by her loving children, Thomas Maccarone and his wife Barbara of Haverhill, MA and Alfred Maccarone and his wife Deborah of Ashford, CT; 7 cherished grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren; dear sister Eva Sepe of Cranston. She was also the sister of 10 late siblings.
Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Saturday, February 22 at 7:45 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 a.m. in Our Lady of Grace Church, 15 George Waterman Rd., Johnston. Burial will take place in R.I. Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter. VISITING HOURS will be Friday 4 - 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 245 Waterman Street, Suite 306, Providence, RI 02906.
