Gioacchino 'Jack' A. DiGregorio

67, of Johnston, passed away on Thursday, October 8, 2015. He was the husband of Franca (Susi) DiGregorio. Born in Fontegreca (CE), Italy, he was a son of the late Enrico and Rosa (Gentile) DiGregorio. Jack was a Navy Veteran, serving during Vietnam, a cabinet maker and a postal supervisor for many years, before retiring. Jack was a member of the Rhode Island Bocce League, a member of the Santa Maria Di Prata Society and the Fontegreca Club. He also coached Johnston Little League for many years.

Besides his wife, he is survived by his children, Robert E. DiGregorio and his wife Lori-Ann of North Smithfield, and Julie M. DelSonno and her husband Michael of Saugus, MA. Jack was the cherished grandfather of Sofia, Matthew and Nadia. He was the brother of Sabatina DiGregorio and her husband Fiore Marra of Italy, and Fernando DiGregorio and his Veronica of Johnston.

His funeral will be held on Friday at 9 a.m. from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St Rocco's Church in Johnston. Burial, with military honors, will take place in Highland Memorial Park Cemetery, Johnston. VISITING HOURS: Thursday from 5-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Jack's name may be made to: American Diabetes Association or Coalition for Pulmonary Fibrosis.
