Giovanna (Galea) Mesiti

78 of Marina di Gioiosa Ionica, Italy passed away peacefully at home on March 10, 2017. She was the wife of the late Piero Mesiti, she was a daughter of the late Giovanni and Teresa (Tricomi) Galea.

She leaves a son, Anthony J. Mesiti and his wife, Nicola Bianco of Cranston; two daughters, Milena Mesiti Carbone (Carmelo), Maria Mesiti Boccucci (Mario), all from Marina di Gioiosa Ionica, Italy, along with her late daughter Piera.

She leaves two sisters, Piera Tedeschi (Alberto) of Cranston, Maria LaManna (late Fausto) of Johnston, along with three brothers Dr. Roberto Galea (Romina) of Italy, Frank Galea (Grace) of Johnston, and the late Pasquale Galea, two brother-in-law’s Fausto and Enzo Mesiti of Cranston, as well as 9 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews of whom gave her so much joy, and many other extended family members in Italy.

A Mass of Christian Burial took place in Italy, and a Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Monday at 7 pm, in Holy Ghost Church, Atwells Avenue, Providence.
