Gloria R. (Sinapi) Izzi
90, of Delta St., Cranston, passed away on Sunday, February 22, 2015 at Cra-Mar Meadows in Cranston surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of the late John Izzi. Born in Cranston, she was the daughter of the late Frank P. and Frances (Lorello) Sinapi.
Gloria was a unit secretary at RI Hospital for 20 years retiring in 1987; and was a volunteer at St. Vincent DePaul Society in Cranston and St. Charles Borromeo Church in FL. She enjoyed spending time in Florida, playing golf and shuffleboard.
Gloria was the devoted mother of John F. Izzi of FL, Paul E. Izzi of Little River, SC, James R. Izzi and his wife Phyllis, Frank M. Izzi and Carolyn D. Izzi, all of Cranston, Robert P. Izzi and his wife Denise of Coventry and Dianne M. Palumbo and her husband Angelo of North Port, FL; loving grandmother of twelve; loving great-grandmother of seven; and dear sister of Anna Mahoney and Edith Hall, both of Cranston, Elena Carbone of East Greenwich and the late Madeline DiPiro, Orlando Sinapi and Frank P. Sinapi, Jr.
Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston on Thursday at 9 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary's Church,1525 Cranston St., Cranston at 10 a.m. Burial will be at St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS are Wednesday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.
