Gloria (Mogatti) Sarcione

90, of Cranston, passed away on Tuesday March 15, 2016 at Brookdale Cumberland in Cumberland. She was the wife of the late Albert Sarcione. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Guido and Giovaninna ( Zincone) Mogatti. Gloria was the former owner of Mogatti Florist for many years before retiring.

She was the devoted mother of Guido Sarcione and his wife Carla of Cumberland; loving grandmother of Carlton Mogatti Sarcione and Mia Joy Sarcione; dear sister of Anna Colaninno of Providence and the late Eva DelDeo and Inez Sherman.

Gloria was known for her talent at creating beautiful dried arrangements and floral decorations. She was also a skilled seamstress, able to sew her own suits, coats and furniture slipcovers. For many years she volunteered as an usher at t he Veterans Memorial Auditorium and the Providence Performing Arts Center, enjoying all the latest performances. In her leisure time, if she wasn't sewing or creating floral arrangements, she would enjoy walking the beach at Sand Hill Cove, or cooking in her kitchen, both in Cranston and at her beach house in Narragansett.

Her funeral service will be held on Saturday April 9, 2016 at 10 a.m. at the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory 1278 Park Ave. Cranston followed by inurnment in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.

Visiting hours are Saturday morning from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m.
