Gloria E. (Petrucci) Tomasso

85, of Lincoln, passed away peacefully, at midnight, on Sunday, December 24, 2017 at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Inpatient Center, Providence. She was the beloved wife of the late Ludovico “Lou” Tomasso, Jr. Born in Federal Hill, Providence, she was a daughter of the late Domenico “Tom” and Maria P. (DelSesto) Petrucci.

Gloria was the school clerk for the Orlo Avenue School & Thompson School in East Providence for 24 years before retiring. She was a very active member of the Opera Guild, Opera Providence, Italian American Historical Society, Italo American Club of RI, Girl Scout leader. An avid fan of the New York Yankees & Frank Sinatra, Gloria also loved to travel, having been to Las Vegas 52 times. She was an active communicant of Our Lady of Loreto Church.

She is survived by her two daughters Diane Wenckelium & her husband John, & Karen Iacobbo & her husband Michael; dear sister Marie Rozzero of Narragansett; godmother of Paul Faella, Christine MacClure and Monica Cavallaro. She is also survived by nieces and nephews and their families, especially Linda and Richard, Donald & Elaine, John & Virginia, Steve & Mary, Grace, Cynthia & Rick, Jacqueline, Bob & Pat and the late Richard, Arthur, Annette & Don Jr.

Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston on Friday at 8:45am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am in Our Lady of Loreto Church, 346 Waterman Ave, East Providence. Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS will be held on Thursday from 4:00 - 8:00 pm. Donations in her memorial may be made to the Our Lady of Loreto Church Memorial Fund.
