Grace N. (Brogno) Berkowitz

90, of Cranston, passed away on Friday, February 17, 2017 at Woodpecker Hill Nursing Home, Greene, RI. She was the beloved wife of the late Louis Berkowitz. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Salvatore and Santina (Capalbo) Brogno. Mrs. Berkowitz was a short order cook for McCarthy’s Restaurant for many years. She was a hard worker and helped everyone she knew.   Grace was a professional acrobat and tap dancer. She loved teaching her children and grandchildren how to tap dance.

Grace is survived by her loving children, Beth Ventrone of Sterling, CT, Tammy Levine and her husband Gary of North Kingstown and Carmen Vonbergna of Canada. She was the cherished grandmother of Lauren Herlihy, Ashley Quigley, and Evan and Jacob Levine; great-grandmother of Rowan Herlihy. She was the sister of the late William Brogno and Theresa Lepore.

Her funeral will be private.
