81, of Cranston, passed away on Wednesday, January 22, 2014. She was the beloved wife of the late Nicholas Salonikios for 47 years. Born in Megalopolis, Greece, she was the daughter of the late Dimitrios and Emilia Foundas.
Helen emigrated from Greece to Montreal, Canada in 1954, where she met her future husband Nicholas. She then moved to the United States in 1955 to join her husband in RI. She was a parishioner of the Church of the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church.
She is survived by her loving children, Florence Sarigianis and her husband James of Orange, CT, and Emily Sullivan and her husband Edmund of Warwick. She was cherished by her grandchildren Eleni, Steven, Anna, and Michael Sarigianis, Elizabeth Tsimikas and her husband Basilios, and Nicholas Sullivan. She is survived by siblings Georgia Scapinakis, Vivia Haralambidis, Nicoletta Kandiliriakis, Panayiota Mentavlos, and Eftichia Kontagiris. She was the sister of the late Theodore and Constatine Foundas.
Funeral will be on Monday, January, 27th at 9:45 a.m from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston, followed by a funeral service at 11 a.m. in the Church of the Annunciation, 175 Oaklawn Avenue, Cranston. Burial will take place in North Burial Ground, Providence. VISITING HOURS will be Sunday from 4 - 7 p.m.
