Herbert F. Anderson

of Cranston, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 23, 2017 at the Scandinavian Home in Cranston.  He was the beloved husband of the late Ann (Browning) Anderson.  Born in Providence, Herbert was a son of the late Herbert C. and Irene (Trainor) Anderson.  Mr. Anderson was a United States Navy Veteran, serving during WWII, and was a refrigeration technician at the Coca Cola Company for 38 years before retiring.  He was also an avid poker player and Red Sox fan.

Herbert is survived by his two sons, Rick Anderson of Cranston, and Jack Anderson and his wife Laurine of Warwick.  He was the father of the late Donna D’Andrea and father in law of Alfred M. D’Andrea, III of Cranston.  Mr. Anderson was the cherished grandfather of Kristin Fraser and her husband John Murphy, Danielle Giusti and her husband Douglas, and Alfred M. D’Andrea, IV.  He was also the great grandfather of Eve Fraser, and Gianna and Taylor Giusti.  He was the dear brother of Donald Anderson of CT and the late Irene Smith and John Anderson.

His funeral service will take place in the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Thursday at 10 a.m.  VISITING HOURS: Thursday MORNING from 9-10 a.m.  Burial will be private.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to:  Scandinavian Home, 1811 Broad Street, Cranston, RI 02905.
