86, of South Kingstown, Rhode Island, passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday, July 16, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family.
Born in Al-Hasakah, Syria, Ibrahim was the beloved son of the late Elias Boutros and the late Bahija Melke. He was raised with strong values of faith, family, and perseverance. In 1984, he immigrated to the United States in search of a better future for his family.
He began working in the restaurant business alongside his late brother, Pierre Boutros, and later proudly worked alongside his son, Bahij, at before retiring. His dedication, humility, and tireless work ethic left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.
He was the devoted husband of Georgette Bayad Boutros, with whom he shared a lifetime of love, faith, and devotion. He was the cherished father of Bassam Boutros and wife Karen, the late Bahij (David) Boutros and his wife, Andrea, Rima Boutros, Elias Boutros and wife Alexandra, Carla Boutros Ghorayeb and husband Moufid, and Christin Boutros Makhlouf and husband Charbel. He was a proud and devoted grandfather to Joshua Boutros and Samantha Boutros; Christabell Boutros; Titus Oluwole, Christopher Oluwole, Joshua Oluwole, and Alexis Johnson; Hudson Boutros, Henley Boutros, and Harper Boutros; Pierre Ghorayeb, Christian Ghorayeb, and Maya Ghorayeb; and Christina Makhlouf and Amara Makhlouf. He was also blessed with three cherished great-grandchildren, Christopher, Layla, and Brayden, who brought him immense joy.
Ibrahim was a man of deep faith whose life was guided by compassion, integrity, humility, and generosity. Above all else, he was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. His greatest happiness came from having his family together, sharing meals, celebrating life's milestones, and passing on the values of faith, hard work, kindness, and love. He was known for his gentle spirit, quiet strength, warm smile, and willingness to help anyone in need. His wisdom and unwavering love created a legacy that will live on for generations.
He was the beloved brother of the late Said Boutros, the late Pierre Boutros, Iskandar Boutros, Jean Boutros, Francis Boutros, Joseph Boutros, and Faraj Boutros, and their wives, respectively. He also leaves behind many cherished nieces, nephews, cousins, and lifelong friends who will forever remember his kindness and generosity.
There are no words to express how deeply Ibrahim was loved or how greatly he will be missed. His greatest legacy is not measured by the work he accomplished, but by the family he cherished, the faith he lived by, and the love, wisdom, and kindness he shared so freely. His memory will forever remain a blessing to all who knew and loved him.
