Irene A. Moretti

91, of Providence and formerly of Cranston, passed away on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, at Elmhurst Extended Care in Providence. She was the beloved wife of Donald Moretti, Sr., with whom she shared 66 years of marriage. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Antonio and Elvira (DiBiasio) Tartaglia.

Mrs. Moretti worked for many years as a supervisor in the jewelry industry. An avid bingo player for five decades, she frequently enjoyed the game at Foxwoods Resort Casino and other casinos, and she also took pleasure in playing the slot machines. A devoted Boston Red Sox fan, she delighted in traveling and especially in preparing meals for holidays and family gatherings.

The family extends heartfelt gratitude to Harmony Hospice of Rhode Island and the staff of Elmhurst Extended Care for their dedication, compassion, and support during Irene’s final days.

In addition to her husband, Donald, she is survived by her loving son, Donald Moretti, Jr., and his wife, Debbie, of Florida. She was predeceased by her devoted son, Frank Silvio. Irene was the cherished grandmother of Brianna Moretti and Alicia Souza, and the devoted sister of Rosemarie Tartaglia (Donna) and the late Vincent and Anthony Tartaglia.
